Green Schools

The Staff and pupils here at Scoil Mhuire are delighted and proud to be a Green School.

We have been part of the Green School Programme for a number of years and have successfully obtained our Green Flag for the following themes:

• Litter and Waste
• Energy
• Water
• Travel
• Biodiversity

These achievements have been due to the hard work and dedication of our Green School Committee members, along with the support from all pupils in our school.

We continue to liase closely with An Taisce Ireland and Monaghan County Council for updated advice and information about our themes.

The pupils in our school are environmentally aware and they understand the importance of protecting our world for future generations.
