Parents’ Association

Parents’ Associations were established to:

  • Represent the views of parents

  • Inform parents of developments in education and in the school

  • Foster a sense of community between parents, teachers and school management

  • Support the school, it’s management, staff and pupils

We are fortunate to have a very active Parents’ Association which promotes the welfare and general interests of the school. The enthusiasm and activities of the PA foster links between home and school, thereby strengthening pupil/school/parent co-operation.

All parents/guardians of children attending the school are deemed to be members of the association.  Officers are elected at the A.G.M.  The association is affiliated to the National Parents Council Primary and sends representatives to the Monaghan County Association.

The committee is elected at the association’s annual general meeting each year. The association plays a vital role in the life of the school in a number of ways. Its financial support through regular fund-raising has resulted in continued improvement of the resources and facilities at our school, thereby enhancing the quality of education which the children receive.

All parents are encouraged to take an active part in the Parents’ Association and to support the wide range of activities and events arranged throughout the school year.
